Calgary Housing Stats - September 2020

Both sales and inventory are on the rise.

This month saw the strongest sales numbers since September of 2014. New listings are on the rise causing a softening in pricing, couple this with incredible mortgage rates and you have yourself good buying conditions. Benchmark prices have been on the rise over the last 3 months and are almost on par with this time last year while year-to-date sales remain about 9% lower than last year.

It’s important to keep in mind that overall supply is down 12% from last year, citywide prices are down by over 1% and COVID is still causing much uncertainty regarding job stability.
